Welcome to the Vanceboro Police Department website. Records have been found dating back as far as 1947 from the Town Clerk showing the early exsistence of our department. Though our department has continued to grow and evolve through the years, Our mission has remained the same "To protect the lives and property of the citizens".

 

The Vanceboro Police Department is committed to fairness, compassion, and excellence in providing services sensitive to the priorities and needs of the community: the protection of life and property, the apprehension of criminal perpetrators, and the prevention of crime in accordance with the law.

We provide law enforcement and public safety services to the citizens of Vanceboro, NC.

Vanceboro Police Department is under the leadership of Chief Jared A. Keys. The department maintains an active reserve officer program that saves taxpayers personnel cost while serving as an officer multiplier.
 

Our goal is to provide the community with an alternative manner of solving community based problems by encouraging the interaction and cooperation of the Police Department and citizens.
